The shower room design in open air, with hanging shower rain, dressing table with mirror and washbasin, while toilet bowl is set up in the behind of the dressing desk.
We put our belonging and prepare to sightseeing and exploring the island.

First day in Lembongan Island,

By 11.23 local time, we checked in to the Bungalow, and after kept our belonging to the our rooms, we are ready to explore the island. At first, as we have planned, we will visit the mangrove forest in Jungut Batu. We ready with scooter motorbike. I and my wife riding a Yamaha Mio Soul. The clock on my Nokia phone shown 11.35 Bali time. It is a lunch time already. And most of us quiet hungry, we must find something to eat. So we are looking a “warung” or pub to having lunch, but after looking for some places around, we did not found any “warung” or pub. There is only one good restaurant with an expensive price and one small warung available, while most of others are closed due to Galungan and Lebaran day.

TOUR TO HE MANGROVE FOREST

So after thinking and check our budget, we decided to have a “nasi goreng” at the only warung open.
After discuss among us and to keep enough time to explore, we are 7 people with 5 adults and 2 teenagers then order 5 “nasi goreng” and 2 fried noodle. We awaiting for quiet long to have our food ready. After awaiting 1 and half hour, our food are ready.
Unfortunately, the “nasi goring” not like what we expect. The rice to hard and too dry, the price also too expensive. IDR. 20,000 per plat. The taste as well not tasty and far from the delicious. Not worth for the value of money. But we have to eat something to have an energy to explore the island, which for sure will take much of our power and energy to explore and riding a motorbike.

MANGROVE TOUR

Upon finish the food, we are ready riding a motorbike to exploring the island. We start to Jungut batu about 13.13. We ride the motorbike slowly. The speed only about 30 to 35 kilometers per hour. Quiet slow.
First thing, we will visit the mangrove forest in Jungut Batu village, about 25 minutes from Mushroom Bay. The road in dusty and the sun is very bright, quiet hot, but does not make our skin feel hot, it is because of the humidity is quiet high. We ride about 30 to 40 kilometers per hour while enjoy the view and the road and as well the village situation. A long the way to Jungut Batu, we found a lot of pub and mini restaurant which prepare some food for lunch or for coffee only. The pub are good and seem clean and homey, which I believe will make us feel comfort to has a food or just had a cup of coffee. Most of the food are seafood like a snapper or prawn, Tuna fish and lobster. We will trying the food in one of these pub if we have a time after the journey completed.
We passing many tourist who most of them are foreigner, like Switzerland, Netherland, Russian, Australian, Chinesse, Korean and a few of Japanese. Their face are so happy and enjoying the island a lot.

SITE MANGROVE TOUR

They also riding a motorbike to explore the island, do a water sport like snorkeling, diving and cannoing, and also surfing. But some of them with more budget, they rent a buggy electric cars, beside also ATV and a jeep. But only a few. Most of them are rode a motorbike. Beside those vehicle, those who do not like driving or riding, there is a pick up with a seat which can bringing 15 people to the journey. Usually they are from the same group from the travel agent.
In this island, not all of the beach are suitable for swim or snorkeling, as there is also a dangerous beach with the clift and in addition the rock sharp is can fall suddenly. Therefore, we must always keep our steps when sight seeing especially to the rock clift. The view are beautiful, but we must always careful to avoid our holiday turn to the bad things. Especially when we do a selfie photo’s. Always ask you’re a companion to watch your steps and remind your own to always aware of the situation.

After riding about 25 minutes, we reached the mangrove forest in the south east of the island. There also a lot of café serve young coconut fruit which we can order to drink the water to satisfying our thirsty.
A guy came to us and offer the mangrove tour by “jukung “ a traditional canoe with Yamaha motor which can accommodate up to 15 people, with the cost IDR.25.000 per pax, but minimum for 4 pax or IDR. 100.000,- for one trip.
We bargaining the price and finally we deal with IDR.150.000,- for 7 of us. So we are get in to the “jukung” and the guy pull the jukung to the deep water and start the engine to sailing to the sea and turn to the mangrove forest ahead.

MANGROVE FOREST IN LEMBONGAN

There is a canal route in the deep of the mangrove forest which use as a route of the tour. Come inside the forest, we can enjoy the green of the mangrove with many small bird singing up the trees. According to Mr. Wayan the guy who bringing us to the forest, there is a few kind of the birds live in the mangrove forest. They eat the plankton around the forest and be a part of the ecosystem of the live in the forest and in the end will kept the mangrove forest sustainable. And we must keep going the forest sustainable by not damaging the forest, not hunt the birds, not cutting the mangrove for whatever reason. Once the mangrove forest damages, the sea water will hit the seaside and will abrasive and slowly the island will be destroyed step by step and in the end, the human who live in, will also in trouble.
We follow the canal of the forest around. It is about 25 acres, but we could not entering to al of the forest as the canal are only limited, surrounded. The canals are naturally made. It is not people made, but by the Gods hands.
We passed by some “jukung” from opposite as they do the mangrove tour earlier than us, Many domestic tourist are also visit. From their language and slang, I can guess they are from Jakarta and Surabaya. Most of them are a young people girl and a boy. They in a small group consists of 4 to 9 people, what like ours.
“Ufffpp….!” I am quiet surprising, there are 6 cannos came from our opposite. They are a Japanese with the guide. They talking quite loud and almost shouting. I talk with their guide and ask, why they ride canno to the forest. Their guide explain that they are not follow his advise, as they are play canno since early in the morning. They follow the canal back to the beach while talking each other in loud, even almost shouting.

Hellooo

We almost complete the tour and reached the end of the canal, where we must turn and back track to the beach. The tour completed about an hour.

We reach the beach by 15.21 local time and spent our time to seat and enjoy the young coconut fruit while talking about the tour we just has, and watching the people who come and out in the beach. The café quiet busy by the Chinese guests group. They use almost all of the seat to eat the snack and the drink of young coconut and some of them also drank the beers.
And we ready to explore the Ceningan Island, which located not so far. Ceningan island is a very small island with about 25 acres of wide. The main island of Lembongan and Ceningan Island combine by the yellow bridge which can be passing by only one motorbike in the same time and must queing one by one.
From mangrove in Jungut Batu, we riding a motorbike about 15 minutes and we can see the yellow bridge which is about 300 meters long crossing the sea which no water. The sea sand only. The sea is use to drying the sewage. There are a lot of the people drying a sewage.

I tried to know what is the sewage for and get inform that the sewage will export to overseas, usually to Japan for the based of the medicine or make up.
We queing a while and get the turn to crossing the bridge. I am quiet worry as my motorbike feel not balance and many time I must use my foot to balancing the motorbike, while my wife shouting as she wore will fall down. Finally we crossing the bridge successfully and reach the Ceningan Island. We continue riding to the end of the road in the east of the island, where we can found the shelter for a farmer who collecting the sewage from the sea and prepare it for drying. We asking to the old women how and where we can found the Blue Lagoon Clift Jump, as my daughter wants to see those popular and famous point.

We then follow the direction we got from those old women. The road to the that point very bumpy and dusty. Of course, all of the island is dusty as the water very difficult in this island.

BLUE LAGOON JUMP CLIFT-2

After passing bumpy dusty road, finally by 15.14 we reach the point at . And yes, the point call the Blue Lagoon Jump Clift because of the sea water in blue color and like a big lagoon and in the left side there is clift seem to jump to the sea. And in the middle there is a rock like atoll with long seem like a laying giant crocodile.

BLUE LAGOON JUMP CLIFT

We explore the Blue Lagoon Point and take some picture in some location. We spent our time about 2 hours in Blue Lagoon Jump Clift. Please enjoy the picture.

As the time run so fast and the sun also start going down to the west horizon, by 16.03 we decided back to the Dream Beach our bungalow in Dream Beach and get shower to refresh our body and soul. We back to our accommodation by 16.15.

Adventure to Lembongan Island (part 1)

Hello all of my beloved da Trooper Bali friends… How are you…?
I trust all of you enjoy the holiday and the long week end in this July.

I love to share with you my holiday to adventure to Lembongan Island last week on 17 to 18 July 2015. Just two days and one night. It’s only a short holidays journey. But I enjoy and happy with this adventure. This is the first adventure, without my black da trooper.

Please enjoy the story….

Hellooo

Last week on 17 – 18 July 2015 I spent my holiday in Lembongan Island a small island in the south east of Bali Island which is about 30 minutes destination by speed boat.
I have planned my holiday to this island about a week before, so I have googling the island itself to know what about and how we can reach the island and of course with the cheaper cost and a maximum satisfaction.
I went with my beloved wife, my daughter Dewinta , my younger sister and her family, so we are a small group of 7 people. And after some research and approaching some travel agent, finally I book two rooms thru Booking.com and choice the Daydream Bungalow at Tear’s Devil Street, located closed to the Dream Beach, Lembongan Island. I choice this bungalow after surfing and have a look many property in the internet and seem this bungalow much comfort for both of us with 7 pax with a reasonable price.

As per scheduled, on 17 July 2015 early in the morning at 7.30 Bali time we came to Sanur to buy a ticket speed boat to transfer us to the Lembongan Island.

BOAT TO LEMBONGAN

We arrived in Sanur by 8.15, and in a hurry find the ticket box, but unfortunately most of the ticket is sold out which is according to the guy there, have sold early in the morning as the passenger came to the ticket box since very early at 5.30. Yes of course, this a long week end and furthermore, this is Lebaran holiday after a Hindu holly days of Galungan. I forget about that, but to be honest, I am not realized that now a days Lembongan Island become a popular and famous destination for short holiday.

I just realized that there were so many people love to spend their holiday in Lembongan those small island. I have been there about a few years a go, and on that time there is not so many people came to the island and as well not so many of the bungalows or the accommodation are available. Simply to say, there is very limited rooms available and limited activity for the tourist, except for the water sport like cannoing, Snorkeling, Sea walker, Bottom glasses, banana boat and other water sport activity.

IN THE BOAT TO LEMBONGAN ISLAND

But now, as we can heard and see from the internet, there are a lot of rooms available, with various price according to the facility and the location. Beside, there are also a lot of the guest houses and the private room that rents for the visitors with limited budget are available.
One of the guy in that ticket box telling me to come to another ticket box next door, located about not so far from the first ticket box. And in a hurry I go to the another ticket box by walk and about 400 meters and from about 200 meter of my vision, I saw that there are so many people queing to buy ticket.
I join with them and waiting the turn to serve, but the ticket on the second trip of 8.30 has sold out and have to wait for the next trip, but the ticket box staff still not allow me to buy the ticket for the next trip and will serve after the second trip boat start the trip.

Lucky me, I met one of my friends who is the retire policeman help me to approach the ticket box staff and allow me to have the ticket for us. The ticket staff offer me to buy a return ticket and I agree. There is a high season surcharge for this high season. The regular price is IDR. 140.000,- return, and additional surcharge is IDR.35.000,-
I pay the ticket for 7 pax and waiting for the next rip scheduled by 9.30 Bali time. We are awaiting for the trip and seat in the nearest beach. The boat will departure by 9.30 and will take about 30 minutes to arrive in the Mushroom beach.

THE ISLAND

Lucky us, the boat start earlier and by 8.45 Bali time, the announcer inform us to boarding as the boat ready. We get in to the boat in wet as we must down to the sea water to reach the boat. I get the front row seat, just closed to the front window, so I can see the water in front of the boat.

After all of the passenger seat down on their seats which are 40 seat, the boat start move forward to the deep sea by the boat’s staff and after the boat in position, the engine turn on and trip began. The tide not so high and the sky was clear in blue sky, the wind also very soft. It must be a nice trip in the sea. We pray to the lord to guide us and keep us in good journey sailing to the sea to Lembongan Island.
In the middle of the sea, the boat start to jump and suddenly down and jump again make all of the passenger quiet worry and some of them start to shout and some of them are enjoy with those and laughing loudly while their hands grab the shoulder of the seat.

I try to take a picture in the quack and got some good picture. While in front the captain is busy with the steering wheel to control the direction of the boat. I see the speedometer and realized that the boat go quiet fast almost use all of the engine power. The speed about 9 to 10 knots per hour. Very fast…!
In the middle of the Strait of Bali just see the sea water and sometime seagull in the front of the boat and fly above. It could be searching the fish to eat.
My wife and my daughter and almost all of the passenger are shouting loudly every time the boat jump and down to the surface of the sea with the “bretak krekk” and “gedubrak rrrtek” sound continuously. The sound came from the beat between the deck of the boat and the water when it jump and down.

After about 30 minutes sailing, the speed reduced and sailing slowly closed to he island. I stand up from the seat and see to the front and saw the island now closer and closer. There are many boat and small “jukung” or kayak and also canoe are stand by and tied and trunked on the beach.

DAYDREAM BUNGALOW

The sand are white but not so wide like in Kuta or Nusa Dua or Sanur beach. Of course isn’t, the Island only a small island. Behind the sand there is a rock with stepping stair to the pathway. We are arrive in the Mushroom beach, Lembongan Island by 10.05 Bali time. The whether are warm and the wind also nice, the sky are very bright. The water very clear as wew can see the coral and the small small fish in the based of the sea with white sand. It is the best time to sight seeing around the island.
The staff of the boat throwing the anchor to hold the boat not to tow by the tide. The boat now turn to redirect the back of the boat to the sand beach. The captain down to the sandy beach and the staff helping the passenger to get down to the island.

As I and my family seat down in the front row, then have the last chance to get down to the island. I collect my luggage, only one back pack and one travel bag bringing a pieces of cloth of my wife, while my daughter bring her belonging only one back pack and of course her gadget.
We climbing to the step stairway to the island. And one of the local people offer me to rent a motorbike. He inform me about our accommodation which not so far from the beach. It is about 3 kilometers, but he advises to riding a motor bike so we can explore the land faster and more enjoyable.
So we decide to rent three scooter motorbikes, one for me and my wife, one for my daughter and one for my sister and her husband. We pay IDR. 150.000,- per motorbike for two days included gasoline. And we start the journey. First, we will find the accommodation to check in and store our luggage, after lunch, we will explore the land and in our plan will visit the mangrove forest in Jungut Batu village, after that we will go to Ceningan Island to see the Blue Lagoon Jump Clift Ocean. My daughter told me that Blue Lagoon Jump Clift is the famous destination in the island. I just heard it from my daughter. Hah hah hah…

IN DAYDREAM BUNGALOW

Only 5 minutes, we found our accommodation during in the island. It is DayDream Bungalow, in the Tear’s Devil Street, located closed to the Dream Beach in the west side of the island.
We checked in and get a glass of welcome drink to waive our thirsty after the sailing the Strait of Bali. We wait for the room to be vacant and ready. While awaiting the room ready, I sightseeing to the around of the bungalow.
The bungalow only has 5 bungalows, built from the coconut trees wood and finished with teak oil in natural color. They built like a hanging wood houses, with the space between the land and the floor of the bungalow about 70 centimeters spaces, with 5 step stair up. The land area only about 1,000 square meters, not that wide. It has a small garden with some of bougenvile and Balinese frangipani for the highest trees and some various of landscape grass and other plant to cover the land. The palm trees planted in certain point which just growth. Seem this bungalow still new or not more than 2 years built. There is also a splash pool which we can use to swim or just to cooling our body after exploring this exotic small island. There also 6 sunbathing long chairs with umbrella.
The have no lobby for check in, but they have a help desk and 3 table with 4 seats for each table to had a food or just for breakfast. They have a limited food variety in this bungalow, they have only Fried rice or nasi goreng, pancake and a sandwhich, but there is a near great restaurant in the Sandy Bay Beach only 5 minutes by walk.

THE POOL

After waiting for about 40 minutes, the rooms is ready and the staff host us to the room. The room quiet wide and furnish properly with a king sized bed with a comfort sheet, soft nice pillow and blanked. No television, no minibar. The fix table a joined with the wall and made from the coconut wood. The ceiling covered by knitted bamboo and finishing by varnish which make the room a natural touch.

So jaket dan kaos kaki tebal mutlak dibutuhkan.

Adventure to the heart of Pengotan village, Bangli regency (part 3)

Hi my beloved friends…  How are you today..?

Hope I finds you well.  I am back again to continue the story of our last adventure to Pengotan, Bangli regency. Please enjoy….!

Last synopsys :

We start from the meeting point at 8.45 WITA by normal cruise following Jl. Cok Agung Trisna, Jalan Puputan, Jalan Hang Tuah, and entering Jalan By Pass I Gusti Ngurah Rai Padang Galak, U turn to Jalan Ida Bagus Mantra, Ketewel and will use the regular route to the east side of Gianyar City thru Tulikup village.

I am pretty happy to realized that so far the trip are in order as like what we plan.

Now about the route.

This is the first touring of KTI Bali after a few months. I personally very happy that this journey can be a real one as I am not pretty sure that this plan can be real due to most of the members are busy with their own activities or with their family. I really really happy with this journey.

Driving on the way...

We are still in Jalan By Pass Tohpati – Nusa Dua, when my mobile rang. It was from Pak Ketut Suarno of Baliwoso. He asking do we have move on to Pengotan?

“Selamat pagi Pak Dewa. Where is the position of the convoy this time…?” He asks me.

“Selamat pagi Pak Ketut. Thank you for your phone call. We are on the way and still in Jalan By Pass I Gusti Ngurah Rai and will turn to Jl. Ida Bagus Mantra, Ketewel.” I said over the phone.

“Ach OK. Just follow the main road and find direction to Tulikup village after the cross road of Pantai Saba.” He said again.

“Please come to my home first. We stop over in my home and had a coffee break before continue the journey”. He mentions.

“Ok. Pak Ketut. It could be will reach your home in an hour”. I said while I still controlling the steering wheel to fix in the right trek forward.

We driving with normal cruise to avoid any accident as the road quiet crowded.

We are now entering Jalan Ida Bagus Mantra which is the ending of the Denpasar city against Gianyar regency. Jalan Ida Bagus Mantra is built to make a short cut to Gianyar, Klungkung and Karangasem regency. Thru this way we may each Klungkung or Semarapura and the last east of Bali Island regency Karangasem faster. Almost 2 hours faster than if we must go thru the regular main road. Before this road built, we must go thru Gianyar city which is a smaller wide road than this road. The name of Professor Ida Bagus Mantra taken from the name of the second Governor of Bali.

Host by Pak Ketut Suarno aka nang Gatot

Along of this road, now a days is become a center of the stone carved and  furniture antique and some other goods for the Balinese art. Even now also there is plenty of the traditional “warong “ which serve the fish grilled and “fish satay” called “sate languan” with serve in hot spicy taste. We can try it later on just to experience. Hah hah.

Back to the journey, we are now entering the road to the Tulikup village, which is the short cut to Bangli regency. The digital clock in the console box displayed 9.15 Bali time, while take to another half an hour to reach Pengotan village. We will stop to Pak Ketut Suarno home as he invite just now.

Coffee break with pure black balinese coffee and fries sweet potato

We continue driving passing the Tulikup village and entering the Taman Bangli in the normal cruise about 60 kilometers per hour in speed. And in a few minutes we entering the capitol of Bangli regency, and start to slowly because of the activities of the people. We just passing the hospital and continuing the driving out of the city and start entering the Kubu village. We expecting will reach Pengotan village in the next 25 minutes.

To avoid miss direction, I call Pak Ketut Suarno and explaining that we just passing Kubu village and ask his opinion.

“ Pak Ketut we are now in Kubu village. Please advise me how long will reach your home and what is the signage of your home.” I asked hm.

“Well Pak Dewa. Just follow the main road. It is closed now. It is only about 10 kilometers a head. You will find the gasoline station in your left side. That is the Pengotan village”. He said again.

“Just continue a head. I will ask my staff to waiting in front of my home area. There is a Daihatsu Taft park in front of my home and one of my staff waiting for your there.” He said again.

“Ah, OK Pak Ketut. It is great…” I replied.

I then inform to all the members thru the radio communication about the clue and to have a look in front on the left side.

The adventure start from here....

In about 10 minuet, finally we found the gasoline in our left side and we then slowly driving and yes about 2 kilometers after the Gasoline Station we then see the Taft Jeep parking in the left side of the main road, and one guy raise his hand from the jeep and give us a sign to turn and entering the yard of the house. Finally we reach Pak Ketut home at 9.37 Bali time.

Start in1000 meters above the sea level and increasing...

After parking our vehicle we then jump out of the car and Pak Ketut Suarno welcoming us and we shaking hands and entering the home. The home is in a natural as like most people village has, with a wide yard some building. There is a kitchen building in the south side, the main building  of the beds room in the east side and in the north is a building call “bale daje” mostly use to host the guests. There also a antique building with in our forefather use to safe the paddy called “jineng “ or “klumpu” or “lumbung” in bahasa.

Pak Ketut and his staff and relative escort us to “bale daje”. And in few minutes we have been preparing a hot original Balinese coffee and two plate of Balinese French fries” Hah hah hah, It is the fries sweet potato taken from Pak Ketut Suarno field. It was planted in organic. There is none chemical used for every plantation in Pengotan.

Host by Pak Ketut Suarno aka nang Gatot

We enjoy the sweet potato as taste so sweet nice. Companying with hot Balinese black coffee is delicious and make us more fresh with spirit., while we discuss and talking about our trip from Denpasar to Pengotan.

We quickly had the coffee and the fries sweet potato as we must a hurry the adventure tour as we plan to have a lunch in Baliwoso camping site at 13.00 Bali time.

We take some picture in here and prepare to the journey. I suggest a ladies and the children to the rest room to avoid stop in the forest to find the rest room.

Before start, I ask Andhika to take my seat to drive my Black Trooper as I need his opinion about the engine, the suspension and the torsion in order to make a list of what must improve later on.

By 9.53 Bali time we start move from Pak Ketut Suarno to the trek and realized we must back trek to the Gasoline Station and start the journey from the pathways nearby. Apparently, the pathways seem declining and surrounding by the cabbage and the tangerine field. We driving slowly to keep it on the trek as well to maintain the distance among the vehicle.

Entering the forest

Pak Ketut Suarno staff lead in front of us riding Kawasaki D-Tracker as a pathfinder and a companying by one guy as a photographer and cameraman to filming the journey.

So far so good and every things are run smoothly as like what we plan earlier. We keep rolling and communicate each other on the 2 meter band radio communication.

The surround seem very interesting fresh and greeny as the green green grass and green trees everywhere. We keep rolling while I take a picture by my mobile and SLR to memorize the journey.

In front of me is Pak Rumpika with his Grey Trooper powered by C223 standard. He bring all of his family, wife, and 2 children and 1 infant. Back from this journey he will continue to visit his family in other village of Bangli regency in Sulahan, about a few kilometers from Pengotan. He very enthusiast join to this trip.

The trek

While, following in my back, is Putu Andy with his Series Long Land Rover green army with the original engine. I am quiet wondering when in the main road, his Landy run so fast and seem so powerful and I just thought that it have been swap the engine by 4JB1T or others.

Deep inside of the forest

While on the last is Pak Agung with his FJ40 Red Maroon. Not worries with FJ40 a legendary Land Cruiser. He drives pretty cool and climbs the trek easily. He he he…

We have been drive for about half an hour in the trek. So far the trek is a dust and a bit wet, then with a coral mixed the sand and in other part only the wet grass with the dew on it.

Suddenly, Pak Ketut stop his Silver Hi Roof Trooper which is make all of us stop and watch what is going on. I jump out of the Trooper and walk to reach him, but he only need to check whether all the members are safe.  He he he..

The grass..

After almost 1 and half an hour, we out from the forest and entering the asphalt with surrounding by the corn field and see Pak Ketut stop his Hi Roof Silver Trooper and following by Yande with his Hi Roof  Black Trooper. While 3 Taft of Pak Ketut staff seem already been parking there.

Stop over in the corn field for coffee break

We stop the car and jump out and come to Pak Ketut. He smile and approaching me and said :

“Lets take a rest and coffee break in this cottage.” He said.

“This is my brother field.” “We take a coffee break and a steam sweet corn prepared by my brother.” He said.

We stop and take a coffee and steam corn to refresh.

Coffee break with steam corn in the field

We enjoy a steam corn and a coffee for refresehment. Thanks for the coffee break Pak Ketut. We enjoy it very much yuor courtessy and the sweet corn. It is really really amazing day we have.

Every body are happy enjoying the coffee break

Adventure to the heart of Pengotan village, Bangli regency (part 2)

Hi all of my beloved da Trooper Indonesia friends. How are you today…? Hope every things are well with you.

I am back again to continue the story of the adventure to the heart of Pengotan village in Bangli regency.

Last synopsis  :

But, the day after, some friends call me and propose to delay the journey until the next week or on 20 May 2012 as he and family really want to join, but have some works that cannot wait to do this week.  I than once again invite them and make sure if they really wants to join and asked to list how many person will join as Pak Ketut wants to know how many person will join in order to enable prepare a meals for coffee break and the lunch, to avoid the problem of the meals less or too much.

Once again then I call Pak Ketut and explain the situation and ask his approval to reschedule the tour and luckily he approved with pleasant. And now the time to prepare our vehicle and ourselves too.

I personally almost un patient to go to Pengotan as it was my pleasure to do the adventure with my Black Trooper after long time not do so.

About Pengotan village.

Pengotan village is one of the ancient old original Balinese village call “Bali Aga”. The village placed very closed with Kintamani and still in the same area with popular active volcanic mountain in Bali, Mount Batur. The situation is about 900 to 1100 meters above the sea level, hence make the weather pretty cold nice which is about 23 to 26 degrees in the day time and will significantly drop till 16 to 19 degrees at the night and will make a wet of the grass and the trees trunk when the morning has broken.

It is not difficult to find the village, it’s only driving for about 1 to 2 hours to reaches. There is two route we can choice. The first route is the regular route thru the east side of Gianyar City. While the other route is thru the famous art village thru Ubud where we stop over to buy some things of the handycraft.

Pengotan village population with about 700 people with most of them are a farmer. They planting cabbage, tangerine, carrot, sweet potatos, green bean and some of other plantation.

Pengotan village pretty good to visit especially for the people who love to learn the traditional original Balinese culture. Pengotan people are originate Balinese. Meaning, they are not came from Java during the Majapahit Royal Kingdom. They are pure Balinese. Pengotan village a holy priest leader who assign  because she or he has a special power and knowledge about the supra natural where the people belief their leader will help to communicate with their gods and goddess in order to keep them secure and give them all the things needed in their life. Their leader is really a special wise person and has a good talent to get in touch with the god and goddess who can arrange the structure of principle of life for the people of Pengotan village to keep their village safely.

In the structure of the principle of life of Pengotan people, there is a unique tradition and culture which could not be found in other places or village. There is the Mass Wedding Ceremony which could be join about 40 to 70 wedding couple blessing during the wedding ceremony. There is also the “mass cremation for the people of Pengotan. The ceremony will held twice a year according to the Balinese calendar. According to Pak Ketut Suarno or famous called as Nang Gatot who also one of the village organizer, the Mass Wedding ceremony ritual will held within March to April every year, while the Mass Cremation will held within February every year in accordance with the Balinese calendar. But the exact date are not mandatory. That’s way not all of the visitor has a chance to watch the ceremony, but nevertheless the Pengotan still interesting to visit. He he he…

Okay, that is the story of the Pengotan village. Now back to our journey.

After fixing the plan and arrange all the things, I send short message to all friends who wants to join and ask their commitment not to cancel or inform me in advance if there is any changes of the members.

And yes on 11 May 2012 I records that there is 6 Trooper, 1 Chevy Luv 4 X 4 and 2 land Rover Series long on the list, with about 23 pax including 17 adults and 6 children. Me with my Black Trooper DK 999 YQ powered by 4ZD1 standard, still wearing old tire R15/7.5″ Rim with  Achilles Desert Hawk in 60% condition occupying by my self as a navigator, Andhika as pilot, my wife Ditta in the center raw seat.  An then Pak Komang Artayasa with his Blue LWB Trooper 3 doors powered by 4JB1T powerful engine acompanying by his brother and his 2 children, Yande Suartika with his Hi Roof Black Trooper with license DK 777 CL powered by 4ZD1 standard using 15R with 30” tire BS/MT in good condition above then 80% condition, Gusti Made Rumpika with his Grey LWB 5 doors powered by C223 standard wearing R15 BS A/T new tire let say still 95% because change a few before bring all of his family, wife and 3 children, Putu Andy with his Landy long with gasoline engine standard bring his family, wife and 3 children also 1 adult of his relative and Pak Agung a friend of Putu Andy with hard Top 79 with engine swap to diesel from Toyota Dyna accompanying by his relative. While 3 members, Bli Gde Roda, Pak Murya and Pak Ketut Uban could not join because they have work which could not wait to do. So there will be 6 vehicle going to join adventure to Pengotan village Bangli regency this morning.

As discuss earlier, the meeting point is in gasoline station in Jl. Cok Agung Tresna, nearby the TVRI Bali station and we prepare to be there by 7.30 WITA.

While I and my wife stay in my “kampong village” since last night has get up by 5.30 am WITA as we must do an offering to our family temple in our forefather house before leaving to Denpasar.

I get up early in the morning and get a shower after my wife finish and get ready at 6.00 WITA. I have prepare my Black Trooper since yesterday noon and checked  the engine bay to make sure everythings are alright. Check the water coolant, the deep stick engine oil, liquid of the battery and seem every things are OK. I start the engine and let it warming up in it’s garage while I preparing the logistic to carry on for the trip.

By 6.05 WITA we leave my home village and moving to our forefather house nearby to praying as today is the holly day for Hindu. Just take about 20 minutes, we than move on to Denpasar. From my kampong in Sam Sam village in Tabanan regency take time about 45 minutes if no traffic jam. My kampong placed in main road of Denpasar – Gilimanuk which is the only road to and from Denpasar to Java. I quiet afraid that the road will crowded and traffic jam by the trucks full loaded which usually will cause move very slow and makes the traffic jam on this road. It is often happen especially a long on the road nearby my village.

By 6.30 WITA. I ‘ve been in Jalan By Pass Kediri – Pesiapan and facing a traffic jam because of there is a big truck loaded a heavy items move very slowly and causing the other vehicle must quieting on it’s back including me. I try to passing but, from the opposite there is big bus also want to passing the other vehicle and make me must get back and quieting again. It’s really really stagg finally as the trucks in front of me seem facing a problem with the loaded as it seem it is over loaded and it move become more slowly now because of the inclining road.

Suddenly my mobile rang, but for short message sign. I pick up the hand set and watching the display and  it was from Andhika, stating that he is on the way to Renon.

I still driving in a normal cruise when the mobile ringing again. I pick up the hand set and it was from Pak Komang Arthayasa asking where is the meeting point, as there is no body in Gasoline Station that we mention earlier. I just inform that it could be most of the friends still on the way and suggest to waiting for a while, and inform that I am also on the way and take about another 10 minutes to arrive there.

I flash look at the digital clock in console box which is already been shown 7.45 WITA while we still in Tabanan regency and need another 18 kilometers to ward to reach Jalan Cok Agung Tresna in Renon, Denpasar. Just after facing the traffic light in Kediri to Tanah Lot, I can passing the truck and could push the pedal more fast.

Luckily in Kapal village and in Beringkit traditional market the road not really crowded as usual, so I can driving more faster to catch the time to be arrive in Renon in time.

Suddenly my mobile ringing gain and it was from Yande Suartika asking where is the meeting point exactly as he felt he was late. On that time I already been in Jalan Cok Agung Tresna about a few seconds from the meeting points.

Pak Putu Andy also call me informing that he start slowly ahead as need to buy some foods for the children in the near mart in front. He joining by Pak Agung with his Red Maroon FJ 40.

By 8.27 WITA I arrive at the meeting point and drop to the gasoline station to fill the fuel tank fully. And Yande follow me to fill the fuel tank. Upon fully the fuel tank, I ask my wife to line up with the friends who already waiting while I need to visit a rest room.It seem there is Pak Komang Artayasa Trooper, Pak Rumpika already been park there.

Sejarah singkat kecintaan saya terhadap SUV Trooper

  Dear all friends of mine,

  Sedikit cerita asal muasal

  saya mati-matian mencintai
  SUV Trooper. Dulu semasa
  kuliah ada teman bapak saya
  yang kontraktor sering
  bertamu kerumah dengan
  membawa Trooper Diesel
  LWB3 pintu warna Hijau
  metalic.

He he he

What a great car..!!!   I have to get it one… !! I say to my self…
He he he..

Maklum sudah double blower. he he he he…

Begitulah, saya semakin mencintai SUV Trooper hasil kolaborasi Chevrolet dengas isuzu it.

Salam Trooper
