Tips : Mengganti bola lampu utama di kendaraan kita…


Hai my dearest friends of Troopermania, dimanapun anda berada.

Apa kabar…?  Saya yakin semuanya dalam keadaan sehat-sehat saja , begitupun da Trooper sobat.  Sehat juga ‘kan…?.

Kami senantiasa terbuka dan akan sangat berterimakasih jika sekiranya ada teman-teman yang sudi menuliskan kritik membangun demi meningkatkan isi maupun tampilan website KTI Bali ini.  Kritik membangunnya kami tunggu.

Okay my friends, this time I want to share to all of you a simply tips, “How to replace the bulb of your da Trooper”  After reads this simple tips, I believe that you will be able to replace the bulb on your da Trooper by your self easily.

Mungkin selama ini sobat tidak pernah mengganti sendiri bola lampu pada da Trooper sobat, karena tidak tahu cara menggantinya atau sebab yang lain.  Membawa ke bengkel langganan memang cara yang paling mudah, namun bagaimana jika lampu da Trooper kita mati ditengah hutan atau di jalan di tempat terpencil yang ngga ada bengkelnya..? Nah lo..  Susah jadinya ‘kan..? Coba kalau kita bisa menggantinya sendiri, tentu masalah ini akan terselesaikan.

Sebelum hal itu menimpa kita, saya akan berbagi dengan sobat Troopermania bagaimana cara mengganti bola lampu utama pada da Trooper ataupun kendaraan yang lain.

Umumnya hampir semua kendaraan Jepang menggunakan bola lampu H4 untuk lampu utama pada kendaraannya. Begitu juga da Trooper. Bola lampu jenis H4 adalah bola lampu yang mempunyai dua filament, satu untuk lampu normal, dan satunya lagi untuk “Dim” atau lampu jarak jauh. Pada ujung terminal atau bagian bawah bola lampu mempunyai dua titik penghubung ke soket / dudukan kutub  penyambung ke arus.

Biasakanlah membawa bola lampu cadangan di dalam toolkits box atau di laci kabin yang terlindung dan aman. Sehingga sewaktu-waktu kita membutuhkannya dalam keadaan darurat kita tidak kebingungan mencari bola lampu.

Mengganti bola lampu.

Sebelumnya sediakan kunci pas atau kunci ring ukuran 10 dan 13 serta jangan lupa tang penjepit untuk membuka klem accu dan kabel-kabel yang ada pada kutub accu.

Bukalah kap mesin, kemudian pasang penopang kap mesin agar kompartment mesin tetap terbuka.  Jika lampu yang sebelah kiri mati, angkatlah terlebih dahulu reservoir / tangki cadangan air radiator agar mudah menjangkau batok lampu. Lepaskan socket pada kaki bola lampu, buka karet pengaman socket kaki lampu, kemudian lepaskan pin penjepit bola lampu yang berupa kawat seperti per.  Setelah pin penjepit yang berupa kawat seperti per dilepas dari kancingannya, peganglah dengan erat bagian belakang kaki bola lampu dan tariklah dari dudukannya dengan hati-hati,  jangan sampai terlepas dari tangan kita dan jangan sampai masuk kedalam batok lampu, karena akan susah untuk mengambilnya.  Jika sampai masuk ke dalam batok lampu, batok lampu mesti dibuka dari dudukannya, jadi ribet deh.

Untuk mengganti lampu sebelah kanan, accu mesti diturunkan dari tempatnya, karena batok lampu terhalang oleh accu. Jadi bukalah kabel-kabel accu. Untuk memudahkan, tandai dan ikatlah kabel-kabel accu sesuai dengan masing-masing kutubnya. Kabel positive diikat jadi satu, demikian juga kabel negative/massa diikat jadi satu dan ditandai.

Selanjutnya tahap pengerjaannya sama.

Ambil bola lampu yang baru dan masukkan ke tempatnya dengan hati-hati. Hindarkan jangan sampai menyentuh ujung bola lampu yang baru, karena sentuhan tangan pada ujung bola lampu halogen dapat merusak atau bahkan bola lampu akan mati sebelum sempat dipakai.

Pasang kembali kawat kancingan  bola lampu, pasang karet pengaman kaki  lampu,  pasang socket kaki lampu,  terakhir pasang kembali reservoir / tangki cadangan air radiator atau accu pada tempatnya. Coba hidupkan lampu dengan menarik saklar lampu. Jika lampu masih tidak mau menyala, coba periksa sekring-sekring lampu didalam box sekring apakah sekring-nya ada yang putus. Box sekring terletak disisi sebelah kiri  di kompartmen mesin dengan diagram ditutup-nya. Untuk yang telah memakai kabel set relay, sekring lampu utama ada dua, satu yang ada di kabel set. Biasanya terletak didekat accu atau di dekat batok lampu. Periksalah semua sekeringya sebelum membuka bola lampu.

Sebelum menutup kap mesin, pastikan dan periksa sekeliling kap mesin, barangkali saja ada obeng atau peralatan kerja lainnya yang tertinggal.  Kemudian tutuplah kap mesin.  Nah pengantian bola lampu depan telah selesai.  Bagaimana…?  Ternyata gampang ‘kan menganti lampu utama da Trooper kita.…?

Radio Communication in our vehicle…

OK anyway,  I am back again to visit all of you and share a little things about the radio communication equipment. I believe that this info will worth for you as a people who like to moving above the wheels. Above of our da Trooper.

The journey with our friend with some vehicles and go in convoy would be more enjoyable if every things that we plan during the trip well done as per schedule. But some time due to a lack of communication, we missing the direction or missing the way that we must follow due to we change of the destination on the move, and unlucky we do not knew exactly where we have to go thru to reach the destination, while the cellular phone  that we use does not work due to a blank spot around the area.  This condition will be getting worse and worse in the night day. It would become a night mare too if this happen so long. It is also may will cause you in under pressure condition which also may make you frustrated.

In this occasion I may share you about the radio communications that may will  help us to find some one who can we talk to and probably would help you  to solve whatever problem you have during the trip. I suggest you to installed a radio communication on your da Trooper or another of  your vehicle. Before we go thru may I introduce you about the radio communications.

There is a few  radio communication offer in the town based on our needs. According to the working frequency of it, the radio communication could be divided into three kinds. The High Frequency (HF)  communication, Very High Frequency (VHF)communication and an Ultra High Frequency (UHF) radio communication.

The High Frequency or HF radio communication usually use as by citiband radio or CBers, or a amateur radio which is work on a Single Side Band (SSB) with the length of the wave within 10 meter to 11 meter band, the frequency is within 26.025 Mhz to 28.00 Mhz while another band from 12 to 80 meter band with frequency 29.000 Mhz to 21.000 Mhz and it’s also work on the Single Side Band or SSB mode. The equipment  of the HF radio communication quiet big and it is quiet complicated to use it during we drive. As we have to set up and tuning in the radio to the right sharp frequency before we can start to use it. Working on this frequency must be have a license according to the class emission privilege.

The Very High Frequency or VHF radio communication or famous as a 2 meters radio communication is work on a 2 meter length of the wave of the frequency. It is very simply to operate this radio. Just switch it on and dial the frequency to what we have agree for and that’s it. We can start to use it to communication equipment. No needs any special set up. Just switch it on and dial the frequency It is work on FM or Frequency Modulation mode. It is work on 142 Mhz to 147.000 Mhz. And the sound of the voice is also quiet nice to heard. The VHF available on a Handy Talky with battery charges and a rig. Handy Talky may carrying on the field, while the rig must mounting on the dashboard of our vehicle.

The Ultra High Frequency or UHF or famous by U radio has the length of 70 cm wave radio length. This kind of the radio also work on a FM which is would generate a clear and nice voice we can heard. But the wave of this frequency not strength as a VHF since it wave need a higher antenna that we have built to have a better receive. Further more, the radio it self not use by many people, it is only use by any of the commercial company and by the police. It is also ease to operate this radio as it is exactly the same with the VHF radio equipment. The different only on the frequency of it work. It is work on the 430 Mhz, while the VHF work on 144. Mhz.

From those kinds of radio equipment, we suggest you to get the 2 meter band or VHF as it simply to operate and simply size and durable. And of course a good prices. There is a few of the brand we can found in the town. Like  Icom, Kenwood, Yaezu, Standard and Alinco, made in  Japan even there is also a China product with a cheaper prices.

For mobile station you may choice a Icom  IC2000, IC2100, IC2200 series, Kenwood TM or SQ 241, TM251, TM261 or TM 271, Yaezu FR212, FR 214 FT1500 or FT 2800 series. Beside you may choice the product of Alinco 135DR or the newest. But for the received based on my experience, we only recommend to install the product from Icom, Kenwood or Yaezu on our vehicle as they have a better filter receiver which generate a nice voice compare to Alinco product. It is quiet noisy during received on the vehicle. The second hand radio for Icom and Kenwood for IC 2000 and IC 2100 series about IDR.1.100.000 to IDR.1.500.000,- depend on its condition, while the brand new of IC 2200 sell for IDR.2.100.000 per unit. This is the last up dated from Icom, while Kenwood for IDR.1.100.000 to IDR.1.300.000 for TM251, 261 and 271 depend of the conditions as well. While the brand new of TM 271 is IDR.1.900.000,- 

To enable to use the radio, you also need the antenna and the mounting bracket, cable and connector of the antenna.  If you already applied the bumper which has the hook of the connector antenna like ARB or TJM model, you only need to have a connector with cable. It is ease to install it.

There is also a few model of the antenna for the 2 meter band radio communication. The top brand is Diamond, with available on a few model. There also a Comet, Daiwa, Larsen etc.

The price of the antenna also in a vary, start from IDR.125.000 to IDR. 600.000 depend of the brand and model.

We recommend to have an antenna without a loading on it stick as if we drive our vehicle to the jungle and the antenna hit the branch of the tree,  it may will broken.  Find the antenna with no loading on the stick like Larsen. There is only a stick on it’s connector. The length of the stick about 1.20 meter. It has a good received and transmitter ability.  The cost also only about IDR.135.000.

To legal  using the radio communication, I suggest to get in touch with the Government Telecommunication offices (now is DepKomInfo) which is will help us and apply for a licence. In Indonesia we have two different organization of the radio communication. One Call RAPI or Radio Antar Penduduk Indonesia and the other one is ORARI or Organisasi Amatir Radio Indonesia.

In this case, we can choice one of them, but again we have to ask our self and our needs. What we needs..? If we need the radio communication to support our vehicle during our journey or trip only, I suggest to join with RAPI as it is quiet ease to be a member. If you need to be an amateur radio and advance people in amateur, lets joint in ORARI. Please contact their offices.

Tips : Merawat Dashboard kendaraan


Hello all of my beloved Troopermania and our loyal visitors of  “da Trooper Bali” website, where ever you are….

I am back again to meet you to say hello.

And this time I would like to share to all of you a simply tip how to maintain the dashboard of our vehicle, especially your da Trooper dashboard.

Tahu ‘kan dashboard..? I believe sobat semua pasti tahu dashboard itu apa. Wah kalau diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia jadi apa ya..? Dari kamus Inggris – Indonesia yang diterbitkan oleh Gramedia Pustaka Utama, Jakarta,  Dashbopard diterjemahkan sebagai “Papan pedoman instrument”. Nah lo. Kok bisa….  He he he…  Setuju ngga kalau dashboard kita terjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia menjadi “Papan pedoman panel instrument?”

Anyway, jangan pusing deh, khususnya bagi sobat yang ngga ngeh dengan nama dari bagian-bagian kendaraan, tapi ngerti bawa mobil. Yang penting sobat itu tahu dan mengerti dashboard itu yang mana. It would be fine.

Saya coba beri difinisi yang memudahkan sobat untuk mengetahui apa itu dashboard. Ini versi saya lo. He he he he…

Dashboard itu adalah bagian dari kendaraan yang terletak dikabin depan dimana perangkat control instrumen, seperti Odometer, Speedometer, Tripmeter, RPM meter, Fuel meter, Ampere meter, Altimeter, Voltmeter, jam digital, radio cassette, Geretan rokok atau lighter, Radio Cassete ata DVD player ataupun in dash Televisi mobile dan berbagai assesoris kecil laiinya ditempatkan. Dashboard menutupi bagian depan kabin penumpang dibawah kaca depan, didepan roda kemudi atau steer dan biasanya dilengkapi juga dengan laci untuk menyimpan pernak-pernik didalamnya.

Nah sudah kebayang kan dashboard itu yang mana…. Fine, You are a quick learner my friends…

Alright, kita kembali ke laptop, eh ke topik kita yaitu bagaimana  merawat dashboard. Selengkapnya ayo simak lebih lanjut.

Bentuk, model dan kelengkapan dashboard ada bermacam-macam, sesuai dengan jenis dan fungsi kendaraan tersebut. Begitupun bahan dashboard ada berbagai macam. Dari plastic, Polyurethane, vinyl dengan busa berkualitas tinggi didalamnya, dan ada juga yang terbuat dari plat besi ataupun aluminum yang biasanya dipakai oleh jeep lawas macam, Land Rover Serie I sampai III, Toyota FJ 40, dan Suzuki Jimny versi awal juga manggunakan plat besi untuk dashboardnya.

Nah, tip kali ini adalah bagaimana merawat dashboard yang terbuat dari plastik, Pulytrethane dan vinyl.

Yuuk kita mulai.

Sebelum membersihkan dashboard,sebaiknya mobil dicuci terlbih dahulu agar kita lebih mudah dalam membersihkan dashboardnya. (simak Tips : Mencuci Mobil sebelumnya).

Sebelum mulai membersihkan dashboard, kosongkan permukaan dashboard dan angkat semua benda-benda yang ada diatas dashboard, seperti boneka, kotak perfume, tempat tissue, dan pernak-pernik lainnya dan masukkan kedalam satu wadah tertutup yang bersih kemudian simpanlah ditempat lain dengan rapi.

Kemudian siapkan air sabun, (pakailah shampoo khusus untuk mobil, atau kalau terpaksa dapat menggunakan shampoo biasa, yang tidak mengandung detergen aktif, semisal Shampo Sunsilk, atau Shampo murah seperti merk Rita dan lain sebagainya). Siapkan kuwas kecil, atau kuwas untuk melukis yang sedang besarnya. Busa pencuci mobil, lap chamois dan  lap katun bersih yang lembut dan kering.

Campurkan dan aduklah shampo dan air secukupnya kedalam wadah sedang dan kocok dengan tangan agar busanya merata. Kemudian ambil lap chamois atau busa dan celupkan kedalam air busa tadi. Jagalah jangan terlalu banyak air di lap chamois atau  busa tadi agar tidak meleleh dan malah membasahi atau mengotori jok atau karpet mobil sobat.

Gosoklah permukaan dashboard dengan lembut dan merata, jangan menekan terlalu keras permukaan dashboard yang mungkin akan membuat dashboard retak atau malah pecah.

Jika kotoran terlalu tebal, tambahkan shampoo diatas lap chamois atau busa ke mudian gosokkan langsung ke permukaan dashboard yang kotorannya tebal itu. Ulangi beberapa kali sampai kotorannya hilang dan permukaan dashboard menjadi bersih.

Khusus untuk di dalam panel instrument seperti Odometer, Speedometer, Ampere meter, RPM meter dan panel-panel lainnya, peraslah lap chamois sobat sampai tidak ada lagi air yang menetes dari lap, kemudian sekalah panel-panel itu dengan lembut dan merata, demikian juga kaca panel, usap dengan lembut dan jangan ditekan terlalau keras, sebab akan dapat membuat retak ataupun pecahnya permukaan panel instrument itu. 

Setelah semua permukaan dashboard diseka dengan air sabun, kemudian cuci dan bilaslah lap chamois tadi sampai benar-benar bersih dari busa shampoo tadi,  Kemudian dengan lap chamois yang telah bersih dan agak lembab tadi  sekalah sekali lagi permukaan dashboard hingga merata dan bersih hingga kering. Ulangi sekali lagi sampai bekas air sabun benar-benar bersih dari permukaan dashboard.

Setelah semua permukaan dashboard kering, selanjutnya kita akan melapisi permukaan dashboard dengan chemical pelindung plastic, Polyturethane dan vinyl.

Banyak merek obat pelindung ini dijual di toko assesories mobil. Mulai yang harganya ekonomis, sampai yang cukup mahal seperti KIT interior, Sonax, Son Of Gun, 3M, Autoglim, Wurth dan lain sebagainya tergantung budget sobat.

Nah setelah permukaan dashboard bersih dan benar-benar kering, kita dapat mulai melapisi permukaan dashboard dengan chemical pelindung tadi.

Semprotkan cairan pelindung ke permukan dashboard. Boleh disemprot sekaligus atau bagian demi bagian. Setelah semua permukaan dashboard disemprot cairan pelindung dengan merata, gosoklah permukaan dashboard dengan lap kering dan bersih dengan gerakan memutar dan cukup tekanan, hingga rata. Celah-celah yang sulit dijangkau tangan, dapat disapukan  dengan kuwas bersih hingga rata.

Untuk permukaan panel instrument, gosok dengan lembut dan jangan ditekan terlalu keras, agar tidak retak atau pecah.

Untuk bagian dengan bercak kotoran yang membandel langkah diatas, dapat diulang beberapa kali hingga kotoran hilang dan permukaan menjadi bersih mengkilap.

Setelah dilapisi dengan cairan pelindung tadi, perawatan selanjutnya cukup di lap dengan lap katun kering dan bersih. Obat pelindung yang berkwalitas bagus mampu menjaga kebersihan dan melindungi dashboard dari teriknya matahari hingga beberapa bulan, tergantung pemakaian dan tempat kendaran diparkir setiap harinya. Jika setiap hari diparkir di tempat terbuka dan terkena panas matahari terik, sebaiknya dashboard lebih sering dilapisi dengan cairan pelindung ini.

Dengan merawat dashboard secara rutin, percayalah kendaraan sobat akan selalu tampil prima dan sehat dan kitapun menjadi betah didalam kabin dan bangga mengendarainya kemanapun kita pergi. Dan yang lebih penting lagi, dashboard akan tahan lama, dan tentu menarik lebih lama untuk dilihat.

Nah pekerjaan kita merawat dashboard selesai sudah.
